KINDER TO SCHOOL TRANSITION PROGRAM FOR 2021 PREP STUDENTS
Dear Parents/Guardians,
It is my pleasure to present Ballan Primary School’s Transition Program for children who will begin their schooling in the following year. The program will run on four Wednesdays during Term 4. Please refer to the timetable on the back of this letter.
I trust that the program will give both you and your child a good overview of how our school operates as well as an opportunity to meet our friendly staff.
The program is designed to help your child make a happy and successful adjustment to the school environment. The program is open to all children who are eligible to start school in the following year. Children must turn 5 by April 30th in the current year to be eligible to enrol in Prep.
During the Transition Program you will need to take your child to the
Prep classroom and sign him/her in and also sign him/her out again at 11.00am. If you are unsure where the classroom is, please enquire at the office. You may like to send a piece of fruit and a water bottle for your child on the Wednesday visits and fruit, water bottle and lunch on the longer Tuesday session in December.
If you know of someone who intends to enrol their child at our school for next year but has not already done so, could you please ask them to telephone the school on 5368 1072 for an appointment or to collect an Enrolment Pack.
Proof of birth date and Immunisation Certificate must be presented prior to your child’s enrolment.
If your child has a disability or impairment, they may qualify for additional support at school through the Department of Education and Training’s Disability and Impairment Program.
We look forward to your co-operation and commitment to this program, to ensure your child has the best possible start to a successful school life.
Yours sincerely,
Julie Ferguson PRINCIPAL
